INTRODUCTION OF BRISTOL
Bristol is another game in the fan solitaire family. Cards are played from the reserve pile onto the tableau and foundations. Since the foundations do not require cards to be in the same suit, this game has a higher chance of being beaten. keonhacai
THE CARDS & THE LAYOUT
This game requires a standard 52 card French deck. Shuffle the cards and deal out eight fans that each contain three cards. These are dealt face up and form the tableau. If any Kings show up while creating the tableau, move them to the bottom of their fan.
After dealing the fans, deal three cards in a row face up. This begins the reserve piles.
THE PLAY
To play Bristol, deal three cards from the draw pile and place one on each of the reserve piles. Top cards from the fans and reserve piles are available for play to the foundations and the fan tableau. Fans are built in descending order regardless of suit.
Foundations begin with Aces as they are uncovered. They are built up in ascending order to Kings, and the suit does not matter. Spaces that form in the reserve section are only filled with the next deal, and spaces formed in the fan tableau are left empty.
WINNING
The game is won when all of the cards are in the foundation piles. There is no redeal.
