INTRODUCTION OF CAPTIVE QUEENS
Although the layout for Captive Queens is reminiscent of Clock, it plays very differently. Players begin with a clear playing space. Foundations are begun and built upon only after they have been uncovered from the draw pile. For this game, two redeals are allowed.
THE CARDS & THE LAYOUT
Play Captive Queens with a single 52 card French deck. Shuffle the cards thoroughly to form the draw pile and begin play. keonhacai
THE PLAY
Begin flipping cards over one at time from the draw pile. As the 5’s and 6’s become available, place them in a circle as pictured below. As Queens become uncovered, they are placed in the center.
Once the foundation piles have been started, build each one according to suit. 6’s are built up to Jacks, and 5’s are built down to Kings. When the foundations are complete, they will range 6,7,8,9,10,J and 5,4,3,2,A,K.
Any cards that cannot be played are placed face up in a waste pile. The top of the waste pile is always available for play. Once the draw pile has been depleted, pick up the waste pile and begin again. This is considered a redeal, and two redeals are allowed.
WINNING
Successfully get all of the cards on the foundation piles.
